VERY COOL, VERY NICE!!

This is one cool little app!! It works great and sounds amazing - get it - youll love it!

I also love this app, however, I do think it would be an added plus to have rainforest sounds as an added environment i.e. different unusual bird sounds for morning, unique rain sounds and gentle waterfalls, etc., etc.

CPU hog: Incompatible with 10.9.2

According to the information provided by the App Store, it lists Elsewheres as "Compatibility: OS X 10.7 or later”, yet when I reported the app hogging 100% of my CPU, causing my fans to almost constatly operate in overdrive, I was informed by customer service that Elsewhere is not compatible with Mac OS 10.9.2, but that they may add the compatibility in the future. It’s a great, unique idea with almost excellent execution, save for this lack of compatibility with causes CPU and fan issues.

Best app of its kind

Sounds are very good, very relaxing. I keep my sanity in the office with this app.

Very nice indeed!

No looping high quality random natural sounds. Leaves my pup confused as to weather it day or night.

Glad I made the purchase

You’ll enjoy hearing the pigeons cooing and taking off for flight as if from a windowsill. The horns of the vehicles is nice, too. There is no subway sounds, though. Dang darn. :-)

Pretty Good

I listen to this while working. Take the thunder out of the rain and it will be 5 stars.

Force closes on retina macbook pro

The app works great on my work computer. I bought the rain IAP and find it very relaxing. Unfortunately, I spend half my time on my macbook pro retina laptop, and it force closes every time I try to run the app. If you’re running an older computer it seems to work fine, but if your machines newer it may not work for you.

Won’t work

I don’t know how this program is. It won’t even open on my macbook. Good thing I didn’t pay for it. I can’t even get support for it because I can’t even open it. Good thing I have Relax Now which I think is a great program and worth the price for the premium. I also just downloaded sleep pillow which I used last night and love. I would have like to try this one as I am a variety type of person. I wonder if I would like this one? I guess I’ll never know…...

Why i supported you earlier?

I like nice apps in this store. I was using your app for few years and to support yu i bought extension (rain mode). But after a while, you didn’t updated you application and it works awfully on Yosemite. It glitches, creating strange animation effects and totally unusable. Shame that i spend (dont think im greedy) 0,99 on this unworking app. Fix it pls. There’s much better free alternatives in Mac AppStore, but i prefer your, if you fix it.

Worked for a while, but stopped after Yosemite

It was twitchy to begin with - worked about half the time - but after Yosemite it just sits there. Pointless.

CPU Woes Continue

LOVE the app. Used to run it a lot then dropped it once it became a CPU hog. Quite some time later I figured the issues had been resolved. On 10.10.2 at least they still persist, alas, pinging a top of the line MacBook Pro 15 with 95% CPU usage after running for roughly an hour (not sure when the CPU usage spiked, but sometime within the hour). A shame. Otherwise this is a simple, fluid app that does exactly what it says it does. Small selection of modes, yes, but they are solid and enjoyable. I guess I will check back in another 6 months hoping they have finally fixed this bug.

Glitchy

I would rate it high for good ambience sounds, but its CPU management is problematic. It consumes a lot of CPU and makes my Macbook run hot. And then I can’t close the app, the menu stops working, and since it only runs in the menu bar, there are not a lot of options to shut it down when it glitches (i.e. you can’t even use force quit). Too much of a hassle, I ended up deleting it.
